Pros and Cons

  • Pros:

  • In this design, 2 motors are used to power the flywheel

  • The cartridges are removed for both motors and this results in 3600 rpm. 

  • The speed of the flywheel can be adjusted to shoot from anywhere in the field

  • Cons:

  • Because of the limited torque on the motors, the flywheel takes a long time to reach maximum rpm

  • After each shot, the flywheel needs to regain speed and this wastes a lot of time
